Deleting your information
You can ask Ticked to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. This is your right under section 24 of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated: 16 October 2026.
How to ask
- On WhatsApp: send DELETE to Ticked. We ask you to confirm, then stop all messages to you straight away.
- By email: write to troyeiyer@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my information", and include the WhatsApp number or email address you used with us.
We may ask you to confirm the request from the same WhatsApp number or email address, so that nobody can delete someone else's information.
What happens next
- We delete your information within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
- We delete: your waitlist sign-up, your business details and setup answers, your messages, your reminders and list, questions you asked our team, and your WhatsApp number from everything except the records below.
- We keep, with your number removed where we can: invoices and payment records, because tax law requires us to keep them (generally for five years); and the fact that you asked us not to contact you, so that we never message you again.
- If you have a paid plan, deleting your information also ends the plan. Anything you already owe stays payable.
If you only want us to stop messaging you, reply STOP on WhatsApp or use the unsubscribe link in any email. If you only want to end your plan, reply CANCEL.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za, enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
